Well it has certainly been a busy few months here at HG1 HQ. So much so, that updates and news have been put on hold due to difficulty in finding time to do it.
The summer disappeared in a blizzard of speakers, trailers, and generators; and the Autumn, while being a bit quieter, has soon flown by. December, it has to be said, is very quiet, so a bit of essential maintenance is underway, ready for it all to start again in January.
At the time of writing, we have just finished two events for the Nottinghamshire Agricultural Society; these being the Newark Vintage Tractor & Heritage Show, and the Midlands Machinery Show. This is the third year running we have supplied these events, and despite rain at both, all went well with record crowds. Squeezed between tractors and machines, there have been bonfire & fireworks events, with the odd Christmas lights switch on thrown in for good measure. Even Lawnmower racing has featured in this autumn’s events calendar, which was a new one for us !
A holiday was sneaked in mid October, and was very enjoyable, without a speaker or amplifier in sight!
So now it’s back to the paperwork, with jobs to price for customers new and existing, and a big thanks to the staff; Sean, Taff, Ross, Chris, and the long suffering Joanne in the office. Enjoy the break boys and girls, as it will soon be time to do it all again!
